Painting with sounds- Blah Blah Bar 31st Oct/14

When we were last in New York we came across a venue that blew our minds. It was called the Greenpoint Gallery located in upper Queens NY. What made this venue special is that it was an art gallery that hosted live music. As a band we were surrounded by the work of amazing artists and our audience was a mix of music lovers and the art works on the walls. The energy of the room was amazing.

Back in Cape town we found a similar energy when we went to see Mr Cat & the Jackals performance at the Blah blah bar in kloof street. This venue is a beautiful fit for art appreciators music fans.

We knew right away we wanted to perform there, and so we got ourselves a date with the artworks as our audience. We invite you, our Cape town friends to join us in this mix of disciplines as we challenge ourselves in creating a whole new set to fit the venue.

We’ll be breaking out the percussion, banjo’s, slides, harmonicas and mixing our blend of gypsy blues to complement the venue and the artworks.

We hope to see you on Friday the 31st of October for a very special evening in Kloof street.
